Common Questions

How quickly can you start a project?

Initial consultations typically happen within 7-10 days of first contact. Site assessments follow within 2-3 weeks. Implementation timelines depend on seasonal factors and project complexity. Some restoration work is best done in specific seasons for optimal plant establishment.

Do you work on small properties?

Yes. We've completed projects ranging from 0.3 hectares to 40+ hectares. Smaller properties often benefit most from targeted interventions rather than broad-scale work. Our pricing reflects the actual scope needed, not arbitrary minimums.

Can you help with grant applications?

We regularly assist clients with applications to Landcare programs, state biodiversity schemes, and other funding sources. This includes project design to meet program criteria, budget preparation, and technical documentation. Success rates vary by program and competition.

What qualifications does your team hold?

Our principal ecologist holds a PhD in wetland ecology. Team members have degrees in environmental science, conservation biology, and land management, plus certifications in specific techniques like arboriculture and herbicide application. All field staff have years of practical restoration experience.

Do you guarantee plant survival?

We guarantee our planting methodology follows best practice standards, but cannot guarantee survival against extreme weather events, wildlife damage, or site factors we cannot control. Our pricing includes reasonable replacement plantings during the establishment period. Long-term stewardship programs provide ongoing support.

How do you handle weed management on organic properties?

We offer non-chemical weed control methods including hand removal, mulching, and targeted grazing coordination. These approaches take longer and cost more than herbicide use but can be effective for many weed species. We'll be honest about which weeds are feasible to control without chemicals.
